I Got Sick\u2014and Learned Where I Really Stand<\/em><\/h3>\n

I never thought a hospital bed would be the place where I\u2019d finally see my son clearly. But that\u2019s exactly what happened.<\/p>\n

It started with a sudden illness. One moment I was fine, the next I was being rushed to the ER. I was scared, vulnerable, and alone. I expected my son to be there\u2014he\u2019s my only child, after all. But days passed, and he didn\u2019t come.<\/p>\n

He sent a few texts. \u201cHope you\u2019re okay.\u201d \u201cLet me know if you need anything.\u201d But he never showed up. Not once. I lay there, surrounded by strangers, wondering how the boy I raised with love and sacrifice could be so distant.<\/p>\n

I thought back to all the times I\u2019d been there for him\u2014late-night calls, financial help, emotional support. I never hesitated. But now, when I needed even a fraction of that care, he was absent.<\/p>\n
