Donald Trump still can\u2019t stop talking about Joe Biden \u2014 and he proved it again Tuesday night.<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Speaking at a rally in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, Trump abandoned his usual nicknames and went for something even harsher.<\/p>\n

The former president, who has long called Biden \u201cSleepy Joe\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cCrooked Joe,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0tested out a new insult while bragging about his ability to read a crowd without paying for polls.<\/p>\n

He claimed he didn\u2019t need professional polling because he could simply ask the thousands attending his rallies which nickname they preferred.<\/p>\n

\u201cTypically, \u2018Crooked Joe\u2019 wins,\u201d he told the audience, before adding, \u201cI\u2019m surprised, because to me, he\u2019s a sleepy son of a b\u2014.\u201d<\/p>\n

Comments about \u201cchief of staff\u201d<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Trump also riffed on the title \u201cchief of staff,\u201d saying it had briefly fallen out of favor because Native Americans objected to it \u2014 but then claimed they \u201cactually want their name used.\u201d He praised Wiles as \u201cfantastic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Blaming Biden on the economy<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The event came as polls show voters increasingly doubtful of Trump\u2019s handling of the economy. Recent off-cycle elections delivered Republicans a string of disappointing results, giving the White House ammunition to argue that the economy is stabilizing and that inflation isn\u2019t tied to Biden\u2019s policies.<\/p>\n

Trump, however, continues to insist Biden is responsible for high inflation, even though prices had begun leveling off in 2022. Economists have pointed out that Trump\u2019s own broad \u201cLiberation Day\u201d tariffs have pushed prices higher for American consumers \u2014 a prediction that has largely come true.<\/p>\n

At the White House on Monday, Trump claimed his administration was actually lowering prices, saying:<\/p>\n

Ignoring the teleprompter<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Although Trump has promoted \u201caffordability\u201d as a core theme, he now often calls the word itself a \u201cDemocrat hoax.\u201d<\/p>\n

His rally took place in the district of GOP Rep. Rob Bresnahan, who narrowly won his 2024 race and is now a top target for Democrats. Scranton Mayor Paige Cognetti is among those running to challenge him. During Trump\u2019s visit, Democrats launched digital ads att:acking Bresnahan over stock trades and accusing Trump of ignoring corruption.<\/p>\n

Before Trump arrived onstage, Bresnahan told his supporters that voters wanted results rather than partisan bickering and stressed that the administration was working to bring down costs.<\/p>\n

Roughly an hour into the rally, Trump acknowledged that none of it was unfolding as planned. His speech stretched to 1 hour and 36 minutes.<\/p>\n
