After a\u00a0day of\u00a0walking around and eating street food, she had an\u00a0upset stomach that hit right as\u00a0we\u00a0were getting ready to\u00a0go\u00a0out for dinner. We\u00a0ended up\u00a0skipping dinner and staying\u00a0in. I\u00a0found a\u00a0pharmacy near our hotel, but it\u00a0was in\u00a0a\u00a0sketchy area. She didn\u2019t want me\u00a0to\u00a0go\u00a0out alone at\u00a0night, but\u00a0I wanted to\u00a0get her something to\u00a0help her stomach. The conversation ended with me\u00a0saying, \u2019You\u2019re too sick to\u00a0physically stop me\u00a0from going, so\u00a0I\u2019m just going. I\u2019ll be\u00a0back.\u2019<\/p>\n

I\u00a0got her the\u00a0medicine, and within an\u00a0hour or\u00a0so, she started feeling better but was still mad at\u00a0me. Her position was that she couldn\u2019t just walk out there by\u00a0herself\u2014it wasn\u2019t safe for her, and it\u00a0wasn\u2019t something she could treat lightly. She wanted me\u00a0to\u00a0acknowledge that. I\u00a0argued, \u2019What\u2019s the point of\u00a0having male privilege if\u00a0you can\u2019t use it\u00a0to\u00a0go\u00a0out at\u00a0night through a\u00a0rough neighborhood and get your girlfriend medicine?\u2019
\nShe eventually conceded it\u00a0was a\u00a0nice thing to\u00a0do\u00a0for her.<\/p>\n
