We have been together for over ten years, and honestly, I thought we were happily married. We have three kids now, but our first was a surprise. I was only 19, working two jobs and trying to build a future, while my husband was unemployed and struggling to find his footing. I was the one “hustling” back then, and despite being on birth control, I got pregnant. It was a shock, but we built a life together from it.<\/p>\n

But the other night at dinner, with friends sitting right there at our table, he decided to make a joke. He told everyone I “baby-trapped” him.<\/p>\n

I froze. My heart started pounding. I asked him exactly what he meant by that. He didn’t back down; he doubled down, saying it was “weird” how we\u2019d been together for four years and then I “randomly” got pregnant.<\/p>\n

I lost my marbles. I looked him dead in the eye in front of our guests and said, “Tell me, what exactly was I baby-trapping you for? You were broke and had no prospects!
